Gelentine’s Charity Event at Boo

Recreate the iconic Friends moment on our sofa

WHAT?

With only one week to go before our fabulous Galentine’s event, I though it was only fair that I shout about it a little more to get all of you lucky Gal’s excited too.  We are all huge fans of Friends, right?  Have you seen The One With All The Dresses?  Well this is your opportunity to recreate that moment with your Besties and we cannot wait to help you make that moment your reality!

WHEN?

Next Thursday (16th February) we are opening our doors to everyone who has ever had the desire to try on a wedding dress!  You do not need to be engaged, you don’t even need to have a significant other, you may even be married and just want to try a dress on again for the sheer fun of it - who ever you are, you are welcome!  The boutique is open all day and we cannot wait to meet all of the Girl Gangs who were lucky enough to secure their slots.

WHERE?

The event is being hosted at our gorgeous intimate boutique in Hartley Wintney, Hook.  The village is famous for our oak trees, cricket green, coffee shops, and independent retailers - so why not make an event of our event, arrive a little early and explore.

WHY?

This is the first time we have ever done anything quite like this, but we often hear women say “I would love an excuse to try on a wedding dress!” And what a delight it is to be able to do that for someone.   We are planning this day of fun & frolics as a charity event with all donations going to St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke.  All we are asking for in return, is that every person who tries on a dress, makes a donation to the charity.

WHO?

There are so many people who have experience of the hospice in one way or another, or know of the incredible work they do with respite and end of life care, and how it is not just the patient they look after - but the whole family.  They work tirelessly to make the darkest moments bearable - and we wholeheartedly celebrate that!  I have experienced their work first hand when they cared for my Mother in Law, so it seems that this little event is the least I could do to show them how truly grateful we are.

HOW?

If this is the first time you are hearing about our Charity Galentine’s Event, there is still time for you to join in or donate.  We have a handful of slots still available for you and a group of friends to come and have your “Friends” moment.  If you would just prefer to pop in and make a donation, we have collection tins and envelopes available at the boutique all week, so feel free to call in and share why St Michael’s is your chosen charity too!

THE EXCITEMENT

We can’t take all the credit - there are also some truly amazing local suppliers who are helping us put this event together.  Bubblegum Balloons are creating a wonderful photo spot for you to catch those all important photos!  If it isn’t on Insta did it even happen?  The Hartley Clinic have kindly donated a Hydra Facial (worth £150) to a very lucky lady who will be chosen on the night, and Casey at The Waggon & Horses has reserved a little corner in their Saloon bar for you so that you can meet for a pre-drink, then head back afterwards for post chats & photo swaps.

All donations from the event will be given to St Michael’s Hospice, along with our salaries for the day and a percentage of the overall bar bill - So be sure to mention you’re there for Galetine’s!  Please help us raise a generous amount for such a worthy charity.

Thank you - Lot’s of love, Emma x
